Waterfront Miami Beach mansion sells for $19 million
A waterfront mansion in Miami Beach sold for $19 million Monday, according to its listing agents.
The nine-bedroom, Mediterranean-style home sits on 1.1 acres located in the ritzy La Gorce neighborhood. It overlooks Indian Creek and offers a two-bedroom guest house, pool, koi pond, wine cellar and private dock.
South Florida mega-brokers Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber represented the seller, aerospace industry executive Robert Nichols, who paid $8.05 million in 2006. The 1937 home has been extensively remodeled. It was listed for $25 million last year before the price was knocked down to $21 million in January, according to Realtor.com.
The buyer was a Londoner who used a Florida limited liability company called 6385 PTDC to make the purchase. The manager of the company, Gavin Werbeloff, told the Miami Herald he could not reveal the name of the buyer, who wanted to be “discreet.” LLCs don’t have to disclose their true owners.
